Walking forwards suddenly and cant turn or strafe

Sorry if this is the wrong place, I'm new to this forum and made an account (kinda) for this problem specifically. I'm having an issue in the game where if I'm walking forward for some reason it just doesn't stop and just has me keep going in a straight line without being able to turn, strafe or anything. This usually happens if I'm going straight for a short bit without strafing or turning but somehow this results in me just not being able to stop. How do I fix this?

You didn't mess with the ini config files through a text editor did you? The game disregarding input usually only happens when you've activated some kind of menu or chat function. You may have double-bound chat functions to movement if you messed the controls outside the game menus. Also make sure you don't have sticky keys on maybe?

If you didn't do that I need more information. I need to know if you're running the Community Pack patched version of the game or not. The unpatched version of the game uses ancient input drivers that could be broken on some modern systems. I also need to know if you're using the OpenGL rendering (you should be as your first choice). If all else fails, send me a log file (Nerf.log from the System folder of your install) and maybe I can find a specific error in there.
