In Vista I had to do it all the time. In 7 not as much, but it can still sometimes wack out the ini save location.

Alyx - 02/25/2018 - 00:50

Never had a problem where I had to do that but that might do the trick.

Alyx - 02/25/2018 - 00:49

Oh yeah there's that method too.

Rajada - 02/25/2018 - 00:47

That sometimes is the issue with locked files and folders

Yeah that's exactly why I was saying it. Lol that's when computers were simpler. (but less secure)

Old applications created during the Windows 95/98 era, when there was no distinction between admins and normal users, often require admin permission today to run.

Alyx - 02/24/2018 - 23:57

I had to do this on my Windows 10 PC when I tried to run Deus Ex and this did the trick.

Alyx - 02/24/2018 - 23:55

Sorry if this is completely wrong Rajada, but try opening Properties where you installed it and uncheck read only and run the desktop shortcut as admin.

Rajada - 02/24/2018 - 20:45

It sounds like you just need to re-install the beta somewhere else on your computer. It clearly isn't letting you install it where you have it now.

The Menu Update: Revalations

Just when you thought there was going to be no more menu updates... another one comes along and really makes you question how many more sequels they could possibly milk out of this.

John Maplist is out for blood in this newest addition to the saga, and this time, it's personal. But he may not like what he finds out along the way as he unravels a secret conspiracy full of lies and deception and missing updates or something...

Where the heck was I going with that again?

Update 3.4.0 10/19/2015

This small update brings the newest version of the D3D graphics renderer. As such, while speaking with the creator of this new version, we decided it would be smart to try to keep it as close to the UT version of D3D as possible. Therefore, we undid one of my requested rendering work-arounds related to macro textures. Long story short, I had to remove the current implementations of what I called static light-maps from the textures. In all likelihood you will not notice this change.

And although it has seemed a monumental wait for such a small update, trust me when I say, better things are coming. (A=E)
