Man this game brings back some memories. It's been a while since I've played so I'm just downloading the community pack again cause I got a new computer recently.

Nvm, problem doesn't happen if I host as a Dedicated server on the same box! Prob some kind of threading issue I guess. Yay!

Latest CP, ran Updater until it said up-to-date, tried manually running Ini Patcher from homepage

Yo! We're trying to get an old LAN server spun up for our house but people spike to 1,000 ping any time they die and can't respawn for like 6 full seconds. Ideas?

I love coming back to this site every year or 2 and seeing that it's still here. Like a little nostalgia timecapsule

Basically, the progressive march of updates to HTML slowly killed it, made it incompatible to run. We technically still have it archived, but it's not really possible to browse it.

So what happened to the old site?

Oh NAB, I don't think I have been active in the NAB community since like 2008

Help

When I boot the NAB Beta, I get a Critical error: 'Failed to link DrawGouraudPolygon'

Issue Description:

When you try to run Nerf Arena Blast with patch 316a - as of this article date - you might receive the following error message: 'Failed to link DrawGouraudPolygon'.

Solution #1 - Roll back Nvidia driver to 391.35 WHQL

We can temporarily bypass this bug until a time comes where it's either been fixed by NVIDIA - or circumvented by other means - by rolling back our graphics driver to an earlier revision.

Version 391.35 WHQL has been tested to work without issue, so far. You can start by downloading it from the link below.

The preliminary guide:

Step 1: Download:

Windows 10 64 bit:

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/132845/en-us

Windows 7 64 bit, Windows 8 64-bit, Windows 8.1 64-bit

https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/132844/en-us

Step 2: Uninstall your current NVIDIA driver(s) from 'Program and Features'. On your desktop press the Windows Key + R and type 'control appwiz.cpl' to get there if in doubt. A couple of restarts might be required if you opt. to also remove such as NVIDIA HD Audio, PhysX, etc.

If you are worried about any leftovers causing issues then you can opt. to run 'Display Driver Uninstaller' aka 'DDU' for a totally clean installation. You can probably just skip this step, though.

Step 3: Install 391.35 WHQL

Additional steps for Windows 10 users: It's possible that Windows 10 might at some point automatically try to install a newer driver than the working 391.35 WHQL, which could reintroduce the bug causing you not to be able to play NAB. To prevent this we will use 'Group Policy' to disallow Windows Update from updating our graphics driver.

Step 1: Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard when on your desktop. Type: 'devmgmt.msc' into the box and press 'OK'.

Step 2: Find and right click on your graphics card. Now click on 'Properties'.

Step 3: Click on the 'Details tab'. Afterward click on the 'Property' box and select 'Hardware Ids'.

Step 4: Copy all these values to a text document for now. In this example there's 4 individual lines for my 750TI. Your values will likely be different, don't mind that.

Step 5: Now we need to open 'Local Group Policy Editor'.

Step 6: Here we need to find the policy that we have to edit. Right click on 'Prevent installation of devices...' and click on 'Edit'.

Step 7: Now we have to enable the policy and enter each of the values that we copied earlier on. You have to do this each individual line as shown.

Last words: That's it. Now Windows 10 Update shouldn't be allow to install a newer graphics driver. Remember to disable this policy when you don't need it anymore.
