| How do you set up a "mute" key in Ventrilo? |

This is only necessary if you are using voice activation. The reason you need a mute button is simple, you can carry on a conversation, or cough, without everyone hearing it. Once you open Ventrilo you will see your name, the server name (if you have one entered) and a section directly below those called Bindings. Click the little arrow to the right of Bindings. A new window will pop-up. The first menu you see is a thing called "Bind name." To the right of that you will want to click the "New" button, then type a name for your key bind group. Once you have your key bind group named go to "Function", and set it to "Toggle Mute Microphone." Then set your Mute key. After that you will need to select that key bind group, once you have done that you can use your mute key any time you desire. |
