Hey fellow NABers, (I think) I have stumbled upon some display tweaks for Nerf Arena Blast. These tweaks enable better image quality at a little cost of performance (most recent computers within the last 3 years should be able to handle it with no problem). 1) Find your "Nerf.ini" file within the NAB folder under "System". It should be right next to the "Nerf.exe" file. 2) Open the file by double-clicking it. 3) Use the "Find" option (Ctrl + F) to search for the sections I have listed. 4) Copy and paste the settings below into your Nerf.ini file, and restart NAB. See if the image quality has improved!! Be sure to tell us if it works for you!!
Note that you can run the Community Pack and install the high quality rendering there instead. This is what I currently have set in my Nerf.ini renderer settings. These are based off of Unreal Tournament's settings that I've gotten from various websites: [OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice] Translucency=True VolumetricLighting=True ShinySurfaces=True Coronas=True HighDetailActors=True DetailTextures=True MaxAnsiotropy=2 UseTrilinear=True UseMultitexture=True UsePageFlipping=True DetailBias=-2.000000 UseTripleBuffering=True UsePrecache=True UsePalettes=True UseS3TC=True UseFilterSGIS=True Use32BitTextures=True UseHardwareTL=True UseAGPTextures=True Use32BitZBuffer=True UseGammaCorrection=True UseVSync=False AlwaysMipmap=True [D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice] Translucency=True VolumetricLighting=True ShinySurfaces=True Coronas=True HighDetailActors=True AlwaysMipmap=True DetailBias=-3.000000 UseMipmapping=True UseTrilinear=True UseMultitexture=True UsePageFlipping=True UsePalettes=True UseFullscreen=True UseGammaCorrection=True UseDetailTextures=True Use3dfx=False UseTripleBuffering=True UsePrecache=True Use32BitTextures=True UseAGPTextures=True Use32BitZBuffer=True UseHardwareTL=True UseVertexFog=True |
