Just press "T" on your keyboard to chat. If you're in a team match press "R" to chat and only the people on the same team will receive your message. After you pressed "T" or "R" type in your message and hit "Enter" to send out your message. It'll appear in a green font up in the left corner on your screen. It's usual to say "Hi" when you join a match and "Bye" when you leave a match. Here's a list of sayings which are used online.
