Rajada has said that he doesn't want to use the UT3 engine for various reasons, the most pressing of which is that it is a resource hog. If somehow we could overcome this constraint, however, the iOS support would be valuable, as we could potentially release the game, or at least a demo/compressed version, on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, which would be very cool to have.
If there is any reasonable way to get an Unreal Engine 3 version of NAB or a remake, I would like to help as much as I can. Now more than ever I believe it would be a good way to get the game out there for others to see...
EDIT: This page shows some information about iOS support... From What I can tell, all you have to do is port it to the system, so long as it is properly set up... there is even a tutorial for makeing a 'Jazz Jackrabbit' game for iOS...
