I didn't really think they hurt at point-blank, you just know for sure that something hit you.
How well does the one you got for him perform at medium-to-long-range? With mine, the discs seem to curve a lot to the right.
Unless I shoot left-handed, and then they don't curve as much, but slightly more erratically.
